My dreadlocks obviously are very dry from excess coloring. I need something that moisturizes and conditions my locs without any buildup. Most beauty supply products that i use have petroleum base and mineral oil in them that make my scalp flake and even worst cause my locs to look unnatural. I want to add color to spice up my locs but Im afraid coloring them may take my hair out.

To nourish locs I use bornu blends which contains karite, jojoba, vegetable glycerin, and essential oils. I prefer to heat it up for 15 seconds, apply to the scalp warm. massage in or twist.  Along with this I insist using witch hazel - tea tree loc spray to lightly mist the locs as an astrigent to help keep clean in between salon visits. When shampooing colored locs use my herbally infused black soap shampoo. It is rich in moisturizing lather and smells garden fresh.
