What is good for retwisting my dreads and cleaning them in between visits to the salon.
............................................
Black soap and Shea Butter are the most important elements that I use to cultivate the health of natural hair. For dreadlocks, I use black soap to make the hair kink up and thick, especially if the patron has had a perm or uses a lot of conditioner. Conditioner tends to make hair too silky for the locking process to commence. For Loc Extensions, black soap is great to use to avoid hair extension slippage. When shampooing, the loc extensions can slide out when using products that contain slick emollients like commercial gels and waxes that contain dyes, fragrances, mineral oil and petroleum. This will defeat the purpose of getting the style in the first place. Rather you can retwist your locs with our bornu butter or pure shea butter. For the skin, when used in conjunction with organic shea butter and eating the proper foods as medicine for the body, black soap esteems the skin to relieve exczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and seborrhea.
Ingredients used in black soap consist of: water, cocoa pod ashes, plantain peel ashes, coconut, palm oil, orange fiber, natural glycerine.
